I don't know what to say...except I was a Hollywood Cinematographer for over 30 years and there was NO WAY I was NOT inspecting the 'prop' gun before it was pointed (or fired) at me by anyone, especially this man, for whom I had the displeasure being around while shooting press junkets in the 90's. Shameful disgrace.
Reading the excuses...seems that Baldwin has persistent false beliefs and is very out of reality. The delusional behavior and psychosis he has probably enhance his ability to behave in the characters he plays for his craft. In Junior High School I actually earned A grades in my drama class, which was an elective, and I actually had fun. That was long before I was diagnosed and treated for my neuropsychiatric condition. I could probably act in a fashion similar to Baldwin as far as level of ability, though I think Mr James Wood has a better political alignment and I enjoyed him in the TV show Shark. Anywho, Baldwin's tales are rather too tall and fantastic to be believed by any person who actually knows about firearms mechanics and practices. Baldwin has a forked tongue, and we all who have any sense know it.
I have heard it all, I have heard and seen others deflect blame, take no responsibility for their actions, he even blames the victim. I have never heard anything like this, well I can’t express it, maybe because I hate to, but evil minded. The man has no thoughts of anyone but himself. What would he say if his wife was in the movie and he killed her? He has no emotion except for himself.
I read an article all the liberal actors in the business are standing by him, I wonder how many movie crews are going to work with these people, Baldwin no matter what is done to him or Scott free he is done. That maybe punishment as his narcissistic life has to have attention, even with this evil comments made in this interview.
Nobody EVER spent any time with any firearms instructor - whether it's a pro or dad or grandpa or the local CCW guy - without hearing "every gun is loaded". It's the height of arrogance to act like it's someone else's job. Even Clooney doesn't escape blame, because, apparently, only "average actors" are required to be vigilant. OMG. What an asshole.
From this narrative, it could easily be possible that a live round could have been left in the gun from the previous hour and a half it was used off the set earlier in the day. If he is not criminally charged and tried in a court of law, justice will not prevail!
