1st rule of handling a firearm...check it. Even if the person handing it to you has checked it, check it again. NEVER point a firearm at anyone and never put your finger on the trigger until you are ready to safely shoot it at something other than a human being (unless they are storming your home...). Alec did not follow any basic firearm safety rules and regardless of who handed him the 'cold' gun, he is responsible for not being a responsible gun handler. He killed a woman and is blaming her for telling him to point a loaded gun at her. Had he followed basic gun safety he would have discovered it was loaded and the tragedy could have been avoided. But he is a hack and a narcissist so there is that.

Anyone with any experience shooting knew this all along. Baldwin has been trying to spin this since his first phone call to his people.

Good info Emily. I don’t think Baldwin is sleeping well these days as a result of the increased amount of evidence coming out. He knows he’s screwed, the remorseless bastard

If you pass a firearm to me and I watch you check it to see if it's unloaded, I STLL check it myself. The safety of a gun in my possession is my responsibility, not yours. If you handle firearms it should be as automatic as a lifelong smoker reaching for a cigarette. While I'm positive he had his finger on the trigger, that's of no consequence to me. As far as I'm concerned, the claim he didn't pull the trigger is just smoke to confuse jurors with no firearm experience or knowledge. He pointed a loaded weapon at another human being and it went off. We have gun safety rules for a reason.

Evidence is damning. However, given the story that Baldwin and his shysters are spinning, would a judge or a jury convict Baldwin? I would attempt to play to the jury's emotions in this case if I were the lawyer for either side. Reason and logic might be overcome unless the jury were composed of Star Trek Vulcans, sorry to say.
