I just read a summary of what the President said. I believe each little ban and infringement is working towards a future goal of severely limiting the 2nd Amendment. When a politician says I’m not doing taking away

your rights- that is exactly what they are doing.

President Biden’s executive action accomplishes two things. First, it gives 2nd Amendment opponents a win in the war against guns. Second (more damaging) it solves an problem that does not exist. Hobbyist and amateur gunsmiths are not a source of terror and National violence.

Joe can look protective while shielding us stupid saps from the violence that would be done by angry white men.

All the while, the real problem grows unchecked. Every generation, we fall farther away from, forgiveness, morality, accountability and kindness.

Good article, Emily, but ya’ cant say you didn’t see this coming! Biden’s blathered on about doing gun control for years so he’s just following through on his threats. I also think an EO will fail. Perhaps it even ends up in SCOTUS. Either way, I hope his calculated gamble ends in ruins come the next elections in 2 years. For now, coincidentally, I happened to have ordered a new LaRue rifle (not taxpayer funded 😉) before I saw your article. As you suggested, depending on what Senile Joe tries to push, it will most likely result in even more gun sales.

Along the lines of ammo shortages, If you’re interested, I could post the contents of an email I got (not personal) from an ammo distributor explaining to customers from his perspective potential causes and how difficult the shortages have been for his company to supply customer demand.

I just watched a segment about "ghost guns" with Dana Loesch. Now I know what the term means. If someone, a hobbyist, makes a gun, fine. But, if he wants to sell the gun, must get a registered number for it. There are federal laws already with regard to ghost guns. We don't need Biden doing BS executive order.

The only lives that seems to matter are the black ones who are killed by police. Then BLM incites rioting. looting and burning. How many of those killed by police had LONG rap sheets with violent crimes? 98%? I like discussing this stuff in emails, not on public platforms. The best way you can get around FB's censors is to post a "poll". Give a number of choices and people pick one of them. That is what some conservative friends of mine have been doing and have been staying our of FB jail. BTW, to me "ghost guns" makes me think of all those guns on the street that were not obtained legally and are used to commit crimes. No matter how many "gun control" laws they come up with, criminals will ALWAYS have guns.

"Biden will direct the administration to begin the process of requiring buyers of so-called ghost guns — homemade or makeshift firearms that lack serial numbers — to undergo background checks..."

So, how does this work? I'm going to buy a homemade or makeshift firearm but I'm first going to volunteer for a background check? They can't be this stupid. They are just testing the waters to see what the climate is for this flavor or Constitutional Rights infringement. If they get little to no pushback on this, round two will be right behind it.

The President has absolutely no constitutional or legislative authority to direct the actions of buyers, sellers or makers of firearms via executive order. While he does have authority to give e executive orders to the ATF, he cannot order them to effectively rewrite existing legislation (as a federal judge just ruled re ATF's ban on bump stocks). In short, what he's about to do is illegal.

First of all, ALL guns can be "assault weapons". Why go after a favorite rifle of protection for homeowner? And, why nothing about hand guns, which are involved in the majority of shootings? Gee, if they ban hand guns, how are black gang members going to keep killing all those other black people? Oh wait...Those back lives don't matter.

My husband and I are legal owners of a rifle and a shotgun. We purchased them years ago for home protection. We enjoy going to the shooting range.

If some asshole breaks into our house while we are home, they will not be leaving alive. Shoot to kill, no other law abiding citizen will ever have to deal with that thug again. I live in the town of Bethel NY. Just about every household is armed here. Thanks to that corrupt bastard, Governor Cuomo, there's no bail, no jail and the criminals keep doing more crimes.

When a government wants to take away guns from citizens, you can be sure that government wants to do things to we citizens will want to have our guns for! These "executive orders" that the puppet Biden is pushing through (Obama is one of those pulling Biden's strings!) has got to stop! Where is our representation by the people who were elected in each state to DEBATE proposed laws??? Like Cuomo with his "vaccine passport"...I talked with our great new republican senator, Mike Martucci (who I made campaign donations to) and there was NO discussion, no debate, no feedback, NOTHING regarding the vaccine passports. King Cuomo made another decree (like sending covid patients into nursing homes)

President Trump warned us about what would happen if the democrats got back in the White House and he was right. They got there by blatantly cheating during the election.

OK, vent over. I am glad I can say all this and share with others because I can't do this on Facebook. I have 16 more days in FB jail for posting TRUTH.

It really doesn’t matter what Biden says or does....who is going to enforce it?

The only “gun control” laws I’m aware of being enforced where I live are those enforced by retailers. And not all retail stores comply. Many LEO’s will advise how to get around such things as magazine limits. It’s such a lack of focus on the part of the current POTUS place holder. Guns don’t kill....people do and frequently without guns.
