Biden Just Took Your Guns, Blasting the Second Amendment
Not one of these dictatorial executive actions will reduce gun crime

Pres. Biden is actually taking your guns. In the swirl of a pen, he took away your Second Amendment rights without a single congressional hearing or input from citizens. It is one heckuva gun grab.
Biden is not hiding his dictatorial move. He said that he asked his Attorney General, Merrick Garland to find “concrete actions I could take now without going through Congress.”
It’s clear that these executive actions will not reduce gun crime but will infringe on the rights of law-abiding Americans.
However, the president preemptively declared “They are phony arguments suggesting these are Second Amendment rights at stake about what I’m talking about.” He said it’s “bizarre” to say any of his executive actions are “contrary to the Constitution.” Does he really think we are going to just take his word for it?
“Anyone from a criminal to a terrorist can buy this kit and in as little as 30 minutes can put together this weapon,” said Biden in explaining the supposed danger of ghost guns.
“Ghost gun” is a scary term, but it's not a major source of gun crime and definitely not being used by terrorists. These are just homemade guns. A person picks parts from different manufacturers and puts it together into a whole. It’s a hobby, like building a car engine.
But the White House claims this:
We are experiencing a growing problem: criminals are buying kits containing nearly all of the components and directions for finishing a firearm within as little as 30 minutes and using these firearms to commit crimes. When these firearms turn up at crime scenes, they often cannot be traced by law enforcement due to the lack of a serial number.
“I want to see these kits treated as firearms under the Gun Control Act,” said Biden. He ordered manufacturers to put serial numbers on every part of the kit and then have retailers run FBI background checks for the kits.
He doesn’t explain how this will be enforced when these new rules go into effect later this year.
The FBI does not track the number of guns found at crime scenes that have serial numbers on them and whether that is helpful in solving a crime.
Most guns used in crimes are stolen anyway, so it would be a lucky break if a serial number of a gun thrown in a bush happened to match the guy who bought it from a licensed dealer who wrote down the tracing information.
Gun grabbers have always used the clever tactic of making up terms that deliberately sound scary in order to get public support. Then the media uses them as if they are technically accurate.
Vice President Kamala Harris today used these favorite terms -- a black rifle is an “assault weapon”, a magazine that can hold more than 10 rounds is “high capacity.”
So “ghost guns” is their most recent PR stunt, and it’s been effective enough to get the measure an executive order. Biden declared that his Justice Department will issue a rule within 30 days to “help stop the proliferation of” them, without giving any evidence that it is accurate.
“We want to treat pistols modified with stabilizing braces with the seriousness they deserve, that essentially makes it a hell of a lot more accurate and a mini rifle. It is more lethal, effectively turning it into a short barreled rifle,” declared Biden, as he held up his hands as if he were holding one.
The White House defined the new category of guns regulated by ATF as a “pistol with an arm brace, which can make a firearm more stable and accurate while still being concealable.”
(I found this old picture below of the arm brace that Biden is banning for AR pistols by claiming it can be concealed. Do you think I could hide this gun?)
You’d have to be either 8 feet tall or wearing an enormously oversized winter coat to conceal one of these.
“That’s what the shooter in Boulder appears to have done,” said the president about the crazy, evil man who also passed a federal background check to buy the AR pistol he used to murder innocent people in a grocery store.
Biden said the AR-15 pistols will be subject to the National Firearms Act and will require paying $200 and waiting for a permit from the ATF to own one. Does he think a crazed mass murderer will really go through these hoops and get stopped instead of just buying another pistol or rifle?
The ATF regulates guns like short barrelled rifles and sawed off shotguns in order to stop them from being concealed.
The AR-15 pistol is a handgun with some of the cosmetic features of a AR style rifle attached to it. It has a brace for the shoulder (not a collapsible stock) which makes it legal under ATF guidelines now.
It is not “more lethal” - it shoots one round per trigger pull— and it’s not a major source of gun crime. But, like all gun grabbing ideas, they look scary.
“Red flag” laws
These so-called red flag laws directly infringe on a person’s Second Amendment right to keep arms. By just the word of a family member or police, a court can take away the guns of someone considered a danger to themselves or others.
Biden’s justification for these laws are reducing suicide (not a crime), helping women who are being abused at home (already a law) and stopping crazed mass murderers.
“We know red flag laws can stop mass shooters before they act out their violent plans,” declared the president without giving any specific example of this.
Biden ordered the Justice Department to write “model” red flag laws for states to pass quickly. He also encouraged Congress to pass a federal red flag law and “incentivizing” states to pass the one his administration will write. (“Incentivize” in DC means give federal funds.)
Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) followed up by saying, “I’ve committed to hold votes on the floor of the United States Senate on gun violence prevention legislation.” Coming soon!
The anti-gun groups make red flag laws out to be a way to help people in domestic crises, however it is already against the law to possess a gun if you have a restraining order against you for harassing or threatening a domestic partner. And you cannot possess a gun if you are convicted of a misdemeanor crime of domestic violence.
Owning a gun is a constitutional right. Taking it away should only happen in the most extreme circumstances and after due process, which is already the law.
So how can the government abide by the Constitution and take away a person’s guns without due process? Can the government take away your First Amendment right to free speech with one judge’s say so? Will a family member use the red flag law to get back at a spouse in a custody battle or divorce? That’s very likely and very dangerous to our freedom.
The federal government is already at an all-time height of power after a year of lockdowns and shut downs and other emergency orders from the COVID pandemic.
So, it's alarming that Pres. Biden is using his power to snatch away the one right that our Founding Fathers said that we should use to fight back against a tyrannical government.
The title of my first book was Emily Gets Her Gun, But Obama Wants to Take Yours. The Left has consistently mocked me on TV, social media and in writing about the subtitle.
“No one wants to take your guns,” they say with a patronizing tone.
Well, folks, we are here now. Pres. Obama’s Vice President -- Joe Biden -- just took our guns. It will be a long path to restore these rights, if that’s at all possible.

There’s much to discuss today about this gun grab, so comment using the buttons below.
Biden and whoever is propping him up are entering territory that will cost the Democrats dearly in 2022 and 2024. Actually, they are no longer Democrats. Nor are they socialists. They are Marxists. It’s really that simple.
Here's the story I wrote on Sgt. Matthew Corrigan, whose guns were taken because he was supposedly a risk to himself -- not true -- and the guns were not registered. It took years and a lawsuit to get them back. This is what the red flag laws will be like. https://www.washingtontimes.com/blog/guns/2012/may/23/miller-iraq-vet-brutalized-over-guns-dc/
