Dr. Fauci's 'Red Flag' and the Super Scary Omicron Variant
Biden says South Africa COVID strain means only global vaccination will end the pandemic
If you’ve spent this day after Thanksgiving enjoying time with friends and family, you may have missed the government alarm that you’re supposed to be scared for your life again.

Dr. Anthony Fauci was on CNN first thing this morning to issue a “red flag” warning of the South Africa variant of COVID. Pres. Biden announced flight restrictions and called for global vaccination. The World Health Organization (WHO) announced the new coronavirus variant is named the scary-sounding “Omicron.” The stock market started crashing. The media had breaking news alerts.
It was Black Friday Armageddon.
Dr. Fauci was on CNN early this morning to get our heart rates up after the turkey dinner. The chyron under him said the topic was a new COVID variant that is “dramatically different than the original.”
Fauci said that the South Africa variant:
seems to be spreading at a reasonably rapid rate, in the sense that when they do test positivity, they’re seeing it’s a bit more widespread in South Africa than was originally felt a couple days ago. So it’s in a fluid motion, we’re finding more about it. We’re finding more about it -- literally it’s something in real time.
Fauci clearly said that the information - the facts - are fluid. But CNN took that line and made it into a headline to look like Fauci was referring to the virus: “Fauci: New Covid variant spreading in fluid motion in South Africa.”
Also, Fauci said that the scientists have not yet tested to see if the variant can “evade the antibodies” from a vaccine or natural immunity. (He didn’t say “natural immunity” of course. He called them antibodies “following convalescence - after you get infected.)
He said scientists “don’t know” if this variant can get through vaccine antibodies. The scientists might now know, but the government of Botswana does. That’s because the four people who went from South Africa to Botswana who tested positive for the variant were all “fully vaccinated.”
Fauci said on CNN that it was too soon to decide to restrict flights. But a few hours later, Pres. Biden, said that he would follow the advice of his “chief medical advisor, Dr. Tony Fauci” and restrict air travel with South Africa, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Namibia, Lesotho, Eswatini, Mozambique & Malawi starting Monday as a “precautionary measure.”
Biden, who is vacationing with his family in Nantucket, put out a written statement with “two important messages for the American people.” Wanna guess the messages before I tell you?
Yep, of course, get vaccinated and get a booster shot. You and your children must go immediately, per Joe.
Biden also had a Nantucket message for all mankind:
For the world community: the news about this new variant should make clearer than ever why this pandemic will not end until we have global vaccinations.
The president still believes he can get the entire world to have two (or three) vaccine shots and get to COVID Zero. It’s never going to happen, and we know that.
The WHO on Friday switched from using Greek letters for COVID variants to a scary new term, allegedly to avoid upsetting the Chinese by using “Xi.” The organization said this is what it known about Omicron:
In recent weeks, infections have increased steeply, coinciding with the detection of B.1.1.529 variant. The first known confirmed B.1.1.529 infection was from a specimen collected on 9 November 2021.
This variant has a large number of mutations, some of which are concerning.
Preliminary evidence suggests an increased risk of reinfection with this variant, as compared to other [Variants of Concern.]
Despite the mass hysteria, this crisis is psychological, not physical. Since Omicron was identified in South Africa earlier this month, there’s been an increase in infection there. But there are no rash of hospitalizations or deaths. It seems unlikely the variant is more deadly than the current one with a 99% recovery rate.
While our government officials held out red flags, the Botswana minister of health called upon the public “not to panic.”
Let’s resolve — again — to do a risk analysis of the virus and not fall for the fear mongering on variants. The only thing worth getting worked up about this weekend is a 50% off Black Friday deal.

I'm waiting for SOMEONE to explain how being vaccinated will end the "pandemic" when vaccinated individuals can become infected and transmit/spread the virus. These vaccine mandates are useless.
A basic immune system primer here (from lots of reading about immunology). These "vaccines" (they are more aptly described as transfections) do not create immunity the way that say a traditional measles vaccines does. They create an antibody response (with likely poor memory) which begins to fade over time (specific to the spike protein of the original strain). Specific antibodies (either thru natural infection or a vaccine) are typically not sustained for long periods of time for good biological reasons (there's also the issue of neutralizing vs non-neutralizing antibodies). Vaccines that do create solid immunity do so by creating immune system memory which can produce useful antibodies at a later point when necessary. I say "necessary" because the primary immune system response to a respiratory infection through the airway mucous membranes (not the blood) is through the innate immune system (macrophages, dendritic cells, NK cells, tcells, complement system etc.) and NOT through antibodies. Some people never get a case severe enough to warrant an antibody response (especially the young and healthy).
Further more the antibodies created in response to these 'vaccines" are to the spike protein only. A natural infection that creates antibodies makes them to multiple proteins of the virus not just the spike protein. These other proteins in the virus are more functionally constrained and any mutation there would likely be detrimental to the survival of the virus. Now mutations are completely random (occurring in as little as 10 hours) but the strains that have mutations that are advantageous will propagate more successfully. Natural infections of sars cov-2 do not put singular immune pressure on any variant. These spike protein transfections do, which is why delta is the dominant strain - delta's mutations to the spike created less binding by the antibodies created by these 'vaccines' and it could spread more...among the vaccinated.
The point is that by having a vaccine that does not stop the viral spread (it's too late for that now), a highly vaccinated population is driving the virus to do unexpected and potentially unwelcome things. Natural infections do not have that driving selection effect. So while the vulnerable would of course do well to receive a vaccine in this case, those who get the shot who could have gotten the virus naturally without much risk, maybe with some therapeutics for a buffer (the statistics of who is at risk is quite clear) are now causing a whole cascade of unknown viral development.
It's way more complicated than most are willing to admit and the effect of these new 'vaccines' on the virus's course as well as the innate immune systems of those who took them will take time to become clear. I suggest reading up on the immune system and reading about original antigenic sin, the Marek effect, antibody dependent enhancement, immune escape and anything you can find.
