They're all left-wing zombie nitwits. Most likely socialist-democrats (Same thing.) Telltale sign: inability to recognize an intelligently posed question without feeling it attacks them or their entitlements.

Mike, her husband is reported to be an extremely wealthy businessman. She obviously does not believe in "what is good for the gander is good for the goose". I suspect there was no investigation. Why investigate anything if you don't want the results to be known.

I agree with everything (and am going to order the AirPods thingies) but wouldn’t exempt the DoD completely. There are areas within the military that could definitely be reduced.

In ANY government bureaucracy there is waste, mismanagement, and unproductive employees. I worked for a New York State public authority for 21 years and lived with it on a daily basis. I could probably write a book.

In my opinion any government agency could be trimmed to an extent and still be able to function well.

By the way, I am posting this using the just-released Android version of the Substack app.

The Federal govt has outgrown its mandate and thus has become bloated and overly bureaucratic. Defenders of its size are Cassandra's that bow to the government. Fact is the handful of times government has “shut down” and required only essential workers, the country didn’t miss a beat. No need to keep those that add little value to life in America. Cut ‘em!

"Snarky" or not - I love how you SPOKE/TYPED what millions of us Americans are THINKING: Why isn't the Fed government staying within its income, like us Americans have to do or they declare bankruptcy ? Because that's where the US is headed with ALL of this debt we are accumulating.

Great job stirring up the WASP nest on FRAUDbook errr I mean Facebook !

When the Feds have enough time to speak to Big Tech company's & ask them to program their algorithms to SILENCE people talking about Covid disease, something is WRONG. Then Big Tech KICKS folks off who dare to question the "official narrative" about the supposed "cure" for Covid which was a HUGE LIE. The "cure" has now killed more people than the disease did and the same with Adverse Reactions. Falsey knew the Wuhan Lab was doing "gain of function research because it's unlikely Employee's working in a Lab in America, would have leaked this out ! Why are American taxpayers funding Labs in Chyna & in Ukraine ?

When someone asks you what can be cut here's some examples of thousands:

- Why are the Feds spending million$$ going after Law Abiding Americans who build their guns at home ? Criminals could care less if a gun has a serial number or less. All they care about "Does it shoot ?"

- The National Endowment for the Arts. Yes, I like art but why should taxpayers pay Robert Maplethorpe who created an art piece years ago called "Piss Christ" ?

- The National Endowment for the Humanity's.

- ALL funding to the United Nations.

- NPR aka National Public Radio and TV. They should sell ads just like every other media outlet and pay their Employee's. If they can't be self fund their stations, why should Americans have to fund their Communist/Socialists opinions ? Nickelodian pays for itself without tax payer dollars.

- Feds paying scientists to research and investigate the "Mating Habits of . . .".

The democRATS HATE a THRIVING US Economy where everyone who wants a job can have one. Why do democRATS HATE a THRIVING US economy ? This is how democRATS get elected, over and OVER and OVER promising & UNDER delivering with Rent subsidy's, Food stamps, Utility subsidy's etc. Yes, I believe in helping the poor BUT if a person can afford a new $750 cell phone, but can't pay their Food --> something is wrong !

Emily, look at what happened to IRS. They have been on diet budgets for 20 years. It got even worse after 2010. It started with the Roth hearings in 1998 and only hot worse. In 1988, there were 125,000 IRS employees. Now there are about 60,000 remaining. Now they are only able to answer 30% of the calls seeking assistance. They used to have walk in services in Taxpayer assistance and would stay open until every taxpayer in line was helped. Now you must make an appointment and there are limited appointment slots available. In 1991, there were 18,000 IRS Agents dedicated to auditing busi ess tax returns. As of 2020, there were fewer than 5,000 Agents conducting Audits. Because of COVID and the limited number of transcriber, IRS only finished processing 2020 paper returns this past June. They are still processing 2021 paper returns. That is what happens when you underfund the IRS. They are now just Internal Revenue. The ability to provide Service to Taxpayers

Oh, before you say that IRS is hiring 87,000 Agents, let me tell you the whole truth. They were granted hiring authority to hire 87,000 EMPLOYEES, not Agents OVER 10 years. They will hire some Agents, Revenue Officers, Taxpayer Service Representatives, Telephone representatives to answer the phones, stenographer to input paper returns. Computer Techs, computer programmers and mail room processors because the mail must be opened off site in a vented room because of the stuff mailed to IRS including Anthrax.

Getting rid of some of these Federal workers, exempting the military, may cut down on some of the bureaucratic charlie foxtrot that gums up the sprockets and cogs of the processes of squaring we the inhabitants of the United States away. Also, streamline and improve other things such as the social security plus public assistance schemes so that benefits are better utilized and the people are better served. Of course, another scheme should be developed in which those individuals who are able to work for compensation but decline to do so are placed under guardianship of the person and conservatorship of the estate which manages their lives until they realize they need to work for compensation and other privileges instead of being able to work but sitting on their buttocks acting like children who seek entitlements but need discipline

There have been doomsday scenarios that have been gamed where 90% of the federal workforce was eliminated. Several think tanks have published data. Everything kept working because consumers paid for use! You’re typically transferring inefficient tax spending to producers/consumers with both ability and intention, aligning economic interests.

Reason being: anytime anyone mentions ‘smaller Government’ their immediate reaction is to point fingers, then fall on the floor in a screaming tantrum.

I heard Elon’s attorney (one of them anyway) said they were discussing a 25% layoff not 75%.

The Govt is WAY too big. Axe those 87k IRS ‘agents’ in December 🪓

I don’t know at what percentage the US Government can reduce it’s workforce, but I completely agree that our government payrolls are bloated. Without any research at all, I offer the Department of Education. What exactly does the DOE do?

IRS shares with States and other agencies criminal investigation divisions. They are staturally required to also share with private collection Agencies who do low lying fruit collections at a hire cost than IRS employees. I think this is the 4th time Congress has forced IRS to hire private collection agencies and it will fail for the 4th time.

Your guess as to who released the information but because of the strict penalties I doubt it was an IRS employee. Also keep in mind, when an employee looks at any tax account, TIGTA knows as they keystroke every access. I suspect TIGTA knows but they are indepent od IRS and they aren't saying who had access.
