What happened to the red wave?

Everyone's surprised that Republicans can't beat Joe Biden and get a big majority on Capitol Hill

The election prediction poll we took together in the days before the midterms showed three-quarters of you thought the Republicans would take control of the House and Senate.

It could still happen when all the votes are counted, but it will definitely be a slim majority. There was no red wave. Pres. Joe Biden looks like the winner for losing the least.

While it’s early to analyze the results, there are several reasons that everyone is surprised that Republicans didn’t pull out a big majority on Capitol Hill.
