I read my new story— Soldier Brings Wyoming Flag From Afghanistan to Fallen Marine Family— aloud. I added some details about how I got in touch with this soldier and his desire for anonymity and privacy.
He is planning on going to Wyoming on Saturday to give the flag to the family of Lance Cpl. Rylee McCollum who was killed in action in Afghanistan in 2021.
What do you think of this young soldier’s two-year mission to give the flag to this Wyoming family? Would you have done the same in his position or given up along the way?
