Fantastic column! It doesn't surprise me at all that liberals wildly overestimate the hospitalization rate. What I don't understand is how a political movement that was so anti-government in the 60s and 70s can swallow everything the government says a mere 40 years later. At least it's consistent with the march toward socialism, I guess.

One other thing: I worked in the news business for 25 years, 15 of that in national. The condition of press-state collusion in this country makes me pine for the 80s.

I don’t believe one liberal voice alone can change the minds of the masses. For liberal America to change, you need Hollywood & Academia to play along. You also need a generational shift. A generation that is born into a world where we think and do for ourselves. It will be awhile before a large segment of Americans are able to think and reason for themselves.

“ I think we all know if it bleeds, it leads. The more they can get you to stay inside and watch their panic porn the higher the ratings.” Nailed it 👍 The Panic Porn is overwhelming and it just locks people into the learned helplessness, as well as seemingly becoming victims of Stockholm Syndrome. This is a really good article and, yes, I am surprised by Maher’s stance on the issue - not complaining but just surprised.

I think I mentioned it here before but there’s a saying in the news business that “the news is the empty space between the commercials.” That should give you an idea of news agendas (aside from brainwashing)

Great that Bill Maher realizes that libs have completely whitewashed this issue of obesity because it doesn’t fit the narrative. Why is it that he doesn’t realize they do this on everything?

Another factor that's ignored overall by the MSM and many in the medical community in regards to covid is that many of those that get very ill or die also had or have low Vitamin D levels.

The sad part about this is, not even with the explanation some people will not understand this.

Just a couple of points. Officers are trained to shoot a deadly threat within a 21-foot radius (42-foot circle), since it takes an attacker less than a second to close that distance. Also, the Columbus officer was not obligated to shoot in the first place (see: Warren v DC). He was acting as a good Samaritan. Hopefully, that doesn't backfire on him.

I am very obese and I have an addiction to food, plus I suffer from depression and anxiety and I turn to food for comfort, but I never got COVID-19 and people make fun of me because I am obese, I don’t see the problem with offering an incentive to get vaccinated, but I am sure that the trolls out there are going to disagree with me, but I really don’t care what anyone thinks, also I like to read Emily’s posts they are very informative and since I don’t watch the news, I like to get my news from someone who knows what the hell is going on in the world

Very BRAVE of you to go on that asshole's show. Yes, I called Maher an asshole. It's been MANY MANY years since I watched his show and except for when someone shows segments from his show on FB or on one of the conservative news channels, I don't have to see any of his crap. I find it hilarious that his audience turned on him. I hope they continue to do that so he gets a real good taste of the HATE he has helped spread all these years.
