Oh brother. This whole health care totalitarian oppression seriously makes me desire to seek escape from this horror serial. I will invoke plausible deniability to prevent any unnecessary encounters with the authorities... I am safe and will be safe.
As for Doc, I must applaud her and state that her gonads must clang when she walks. I seriously hope she is able to achieve a great resolution on her behalf.
If I were a patient in the hospital, I would want my doctor to give me whatever medication I needed to get better. If the medication was untested and if the doctor told me about it and told me that it would work then I would try it. So I would say that it shows that Dr. Bowden thought that the medication would work, then I don’t see why the hospital wouldn’t let her use it. Well done Dr. Bowden!
I agree with Dr. Bowden’s attorney, Steven Biss. A well respected hospital using Twitter to ruin the reputation of a doctor is bad form.
So little was (and is) known about COVID. Remember, getting vaccinated will prevent COVID? Remember we need two weeks to flatten the curve? We all on this platform could see the obvious- it’s BS. Dr. Bowden knows it, we know it, Emily, you reported it.
For the hospital management actively seek to harm the reputation of a fellow doctor into order to justify their ignorance is shameful, to say the least. I’m glad she is suing. If there is crowd funding drive, I’d be honored to contribute.
Since when did a Hospital's Board of Director's get to OVER-RIDE and OVER-RULE a Medical Doctor's opinion on what is best for each patient ?
When the FEDS stepped in and told them, either you STOP allowing Doctor's use what works for FIGHTING Covid or we will. . . .
Put Houston Methodist Board of Director's, President, veep and others ALL on the witness stand and ask them:
- Is there an established medical protocol that allows the FEDS in DC to decide HOW to medically treat people, they have never seen or examined, and clearly do not know what allergy's or reactions a person may have ?
- Is there am established and documented precedent that allows Houston Methodist Board of Director's, President, veep and others to over-rule and over-ride a Medical Doctor's medical treatment that they have been treating for a longer period of time than they have ?
- Who is threatening to cut off Federal funds to Houston Methodist Hospital if they continued treating people with drugs they PERSONALLY do not like ?
- When can someone in Washington DC, diagnose someone 2000+ miles away, when they have NEVER seen, met or read their Medical history ?

Good for Dr Bowden. Hope I get on her jury. 😀
$25mm is too low. Seriously, this is her livelihood as well as her reputation...

I will be praying for Dr. Bowden everyday! Thanks for writing about this!

Good for the Doc & what’s up with the rainbow hospital Twitter avatar?
Telling, n’est pas?
I would sue for $100M in total. Best of of luck because many judges are totally corrupt.
