"Women aren’t mentioned in the bill" probably so they can avoid being asked, What is a woman? 🤪

Sounds like Schmuck Schumer got disciplined.

Gee whiz Wally (Leave it to Beaver) !

Me and my classmates were so excited to go see the slob on a Field Trip next year, the most wonderful slob of all ! But now we'll have to look at photo's and watch the video's. Shoemer was probably getting it from both sides of the aisle and finally discovered, that Congress needs to spend more time dealing with the Border crisis than the Slob's dress attire or lack thereof.

Why is Fetterman still allowed to wear shorts and a hoody, ducking into a Coat Room, just to vote ? Mitt Romney announced he's NOT seeking re-relection (answer to prayer), maybe Mitt can share some of his ties and who knows, maybe one of his suit jackets might even fit. Anytime Fetterman is in the Capitol, unless it's after hours and he's going to the gym, he should be dressed professionally. What message does he send back to Pennsylvania dressing like a slob ?

I had several instances in my professional career where the president of the organization that I was working for told me politely but firmly that I had to wear a business suit to the office. I was in a track suit. No one should be exempt from a dress code

Glad there's still a scintilla of decency left in the US Senate.

Lurch's attempt at recreating his childhood wardrobe was simply abhorrent. Maybe it's not even childhood.... maybe more like living in a cardboard box under a bridge.

I was told on another forum (TownHall, I think) that Lurch 's "hoodie" was a very expensive one, as were his shorts and socks, as if that legitimizes staining the history of one of the most important legislative bodies in the world with this publicity stunt.

Well, it seems to me that any smash and grab crew steals even more expensive "hoodies" and other duds (I'm giving my age away there - if anyone is not aware,"Duds" is a late 19th century slang for clothing) and it wouldn't surprise me if Lurch runs with a streetcorner gang back home, trying to reconnect with the roots his pampered upbringing didn't give him, don't ya know. And if he can pick up a new Prada hoodie or two in the process, why not? That's a couple hundred from the trust fund that stays in his pocket.

Anyway, I'm afraid that sending that.... damaged man to of all places the US Senate has dropped my opinion of those nice folks in the Keystone State by about the whole range of possible numbers. What the eff were they thinking (If they even were engaging in reasoning out what a disaster they were unleashing upon themselves for this egregious error and the corresponding dumpster fire they unleashed on the Senate and the US Government.

I hope every one of Lurch's voters experience a blowout in their Depends while they're in line at Golden Buffet.

Restoring the dignity in the US Senate will take years. This is one step forward. Restoring any trust I might have had in the US Government is not going to happen no matter what. That being said, I would enjoy meeting Senator Rand Paul sometime. I see him as a true defender.

The fact that the rules applied to Senators only but everyone else still had to follow the dress code - rules for thee but not for me - once again. I think the staff complained bitterly and that is what caused the change.

Fetterman is a dope but those who vote only for a letter after a name are worse.

And shame on Republicans for not having a better candidate in the race.

As to the topic of dress in the Senate, Establishing a formal dress code was the correct thing to do imho.

Because the Dems are looking at their poll numbers falling away, and the Biden advisors are trying to stop the bleeding at every turn.

My default state is slobbery. It comes from working at home for so many years. It's t-shirt and sweatpants for work each day, though *different* t-shirt and sweatpants than what I sleep in, so there!) When I go to meetings, I never wear a tie if I can get away with it. Only going to the Pentagon gets me to wear a coat and tie. But I still wear black sneakers since I don't own a comfortable pair of dress shoes. ("Comfortable dress shoes" are a contradiction in terms.) Luckily the new dress code doesn't mention footwear if I ever make it to the Senate.

I'm pretty sure that it was Senator Susan Collins threatening to show up in a bikini that turned the tide.

Just impeach them both. Fetterman is incompetent and unfit for office. Schumer is a fraud and repeatedly lied- under oath. He has no business serving another day.
