BTW: were you aware that one of the Marines receiving wreaths is depicted in the Memorial? Corporal Ira Hayes, a Pima Indian from Arizona, was one of the Marines that raised the flag on Mount Suribachi in 1945.
Another wreath recipient, John Basilone, was awarded the Medal of Honor for heroism at the Battle for Guadalcanal. He is one of three men that the HBO series “The Pacific” follows through the campaigns in the Pacific in WWII. It’s a hard series to watch, but worth it.
Just a point of clarification, Emily. They are Medal of Honor “recipients,” not MOH “winners.” I hope this didn’t come across as snarky, because I truly appreciate your sentiments.

I was talking the other day to one of the residents where I work. He was part of the FIRST group of Marines who raised the flag at Iwo Jima. I look forward one day I am off and hopefully going to be able to sit down and talk WITH him one day.
I was talking with a co-worker at 0200 this morning & she told me her husband, father, father-in-law, and grandpa were ALL US Marines. I asked if she could pull up YouTube videos on her computer and she said YES. She REALLY liked your video a lot Emily and said she'll be sharing it with all the Marines in her family. When she said that she was interested in Video's with Marines doing precision drills. . . I told her to scroll and she'll find some of these video's in your collection of video's as well.
Meanwhile outside the temperature dropped to low 20's and we got about three inches of snow. I am going to FedEx some SNOW overnight to DC ! ha ha ha Have a SAFE day everyone !
I haven't heard from my lawyer in about a month. This is NOT a good thing as there is a LOT going on right now. Her name is Megan. Yes, I realize being married and having two Toddlers is a FULL TIME job, let alone adding a FULL TIME Law practice that she runs out of their home.
