Many of you are aware the Taliban blocked all the US evacuation flights from Doha this week. I asked the State Department about it. That's in my new story today here: https://www.emilypostnews.com/p/american-father-trapped-in-afghanistan

Emily, the efforts have not stopped. Even though it seems like some of the people who were leading the charge have opted instead to favor photo ops and talking points, the rest of us are still engaged. I've got a GoFundMe up for this very purpose. Please check out our updates if you are interested. https://tinyurl.com/26rxarsr

I want to share some amazing news with you Emily and all those who struggle finding hope. My dear friend (SIV) has made it out of Afghanistan with his pregnant wife and 2 year old daughter. They are now in San Diego, CA. His journey is a story that needs to be told. What makes it so unique is that he was able to transfer his SIV case to Pakistan, completed the process, and then flew from Pakistan into the US. He received NO help from the state department or any of the veteran’s organizations. He flew straight into the US without going to a third country or having to stay in a refugee/resettlement camp. However, I’m scared he might now slip through the cracks. He is kind of on his own and can’t apply for help from programs like Airbnb.org unless he is sponsored by a refugee group. The problem is he isn’t really a refugee; he is a SIV holder. Emily - please consider interviewing him. I think his story needs to be shared. I think he can provide inspiration to others and maybe unlock the path to siv resettlement for himself and others in his shoes.

FROM STATE DEPARTMENT -- Afghanistan Relocation and Resettlement Update

12/13/2021 10:03 AM EST

Since August 31, the State Department has continued its around-the-clock efforts to relocate U.S. citizens and lawful permanent residents currently in Afghanistan who want to depart, as well as Afghan allies who worked with us over the course of our 20-year military mission in Afghanistan and their families. As Secretary Blinken has said, there is no deadline for this work, which at the State Department is led by the Coordinator for Afghan Relocation Efforts, Ambassador Beth Jones.

This update provides the latest on the U.S. government’s relocation and resettlement efforts.

Relocations:

Since August 31, the United States has directly assisted 479 American Citizens and 450 lawful permanent residents to depart Afghanistan and relocate to the United States. The State Department is currently in touch with fewer than a dozen U.S. citizens who want to leave Afghanistan, are prepared to depart, and have the necessary travel documents.

Additionally, through Operation Allies Welcome, the State Department continues to relocate our Afghan allies who worked with us and their families. These include more than 2,200 Afghans, many of whom are special immigrant visa holders, as well as SIV applicants who have Chief of Mission (COM) approval, a step required by the Afghan Allies Protection Act of 2009.

Since taking office, the Biden administration has surged resources and taken significant steps to accelerate processing of Afghans, including SIV applicants. As a result, the State Department has issued more than 8,200 SIVs since January 20, and continues to process SIV applications daily.

Resettlement:

With the support of Congress, veterans’ organizations, faith leaders, and countless civic organizations, the American people are upholding our commitment to our Afghan allies who worked with us over the last two decades in Afghanistan. The Administration is providing funding to support resettlement for up to 95,000 individuals relocated from Afghanistan and entering the United States through Operation Allies Welcome through the current fiscal year.

Individuals relocated from Afghanistan undergo a rigorous and multilayered screening and vetting process prior to their arrival in the United States and undergo additional screening at their Port of Entry, led by the Department of Homeland Security. They are required to receive critical vaccinations.

The United States has welcomed more than 74,000 Afghans through Operation Allies Welcome to date, providing them with support and assistance as they begin their new lives in the United States – and we are prepared to welcome additional qualifying Afghans over the coming weeks and months as capacity allows, including the approximately 3,000 individuals who are at overseas transit locations for processing to come to the United States. More than 38,000 Afghans, American citizens, and lawful permanent residents have been relocated from military bases in the United States (“safe havens”) to their new communities across the country.

More than 40 percent of the Afghans who have come to the United States are eligible for SIVs because they worked for or on behalf of the U.S. government in Afghanistan or our coalition partners, at significant risk to themselves, or they are the immediate family member of someone who did. Some are SIV applicants who were already in the SIV pipeline. Others are eligible but had never applied. Many additional Afghans are family members of U.S. citizens and lawful permanent residents, or they worked as journalists, human rights activists, humanitarian or development workers, or for the former Afghan government.

This season we have in December... for many it can be a time of festivity. While Afghanistan remains under the thrall of the Deobandit Talibandits who decline to recognize the individual right to diversity of faith and practices of the people within its borders, the joy you might desire is within your own selves and within your own hearts. Remember, these atrocious excuses for subhuman beings can only damage your bodies; your eternal souls and spirits are another dimension which are untouchable by the whims of man. True, your plight is not currently in the news cycle, however, your perseverance is what is going to help you realize your goals. God hears your plight. We in the United States will remember you too. It will not be easily erased. Meantime, if you can have even one fully festive meal as you like, it will go long in your hearts and memories. God has you in His heart, and that is what matters to the upmost.

Joint Statement on Reports of Summary Killings and Enforced Disappearances in Afghanistan

12/04/2021 06:38 PM EST

Office of the Spokesperson

The text of the following statement was released initially by the Governments of the United States of America, Australia, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, Denmark, the European Union, Finland, France, Germany, Japan, the Netherlands, New Zealand, North Macedonia, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, and Ukraine.

Begin Text:

We are deeply concerned by reports of summary killings and enforced disappearances of former members of the Afghan security forces as documented by Human Rights Watch and others.

We underline that the alleged actions constitute serious human rights abuses and contradict the Taliban’s announced amnesty. We call on the Taliban to effectively enforce the amnesty for former members of the Afghan security forces and former Government officials to ensure that it is upheld across the country and throughout their ranks.

Reported cases must be investigated promptly and in a transparent manner, those responsible must be held accountable, and these steps must be clearly publicized as an immediate deterrent to further killings and disappearances.

We will continue to measure the Taliban by their actions.

For those in Afghanistan trying to get out, nothing new for you, but this is start of direct communication with Taliban, which is the way to get back commercial flights or deal on land route, in my opinion.

There is information about humanitarian efforts to get you food and necessities for winter and human rights too. I'm sorry it's taking this long to fix the mess.

I am writing on behalf of an Afghan soldier and his wife who desperately need to be evacuated. He was employed by US Forces, and they are killing all the "slaves to America". My friends are in hiding and afraid to reach on any media. We are communicating via the Signal app for security purposes. They need to get in touch with his team for employment verification purposes, to apply for an SIV. I have tried contacting 7th Special Forces Group, but so far, have had no response. Do you know how to get employment verification for our Allies still stuck in Afghanistan? Thank you

Sec. of State Blinken today on people left behind in Afghanistan:

American citizens: "As of November 10th, all U.S. citizens who have requested assistance from the United States Government to depart Afghanistan --and who have identified as prepared to depart and having the necessary travel documents -- have been offered an opportunity to do so. That includes more than 380 American citizens and more than 280 legal permanent residents whose departure we have already facilitated."

He doesn't answer this: HOW MANY AMERICAN CITIZENS ARE STILL IN AFGHANISTAN?

On SIV: Qatar will "facilitate the travel of Afghans with U.S. Special Immigrant Visas" and serve as a transit point for eligible Afghans as they complete their application process.

The State Department announced more humanitarian aid directly to people in Afghanistan through certain groups. Try to get in contact with these groups for aid. I pasted the key section below:

As part of our enduring commitment to the people of Afghanistan, the United States announced today nearly $144 million in humanitarian assistance to those affected by the ongoing humanitarian crisis. This assistance brings the total U.S. humanitarian aid in Afghanistan and for Afghan refugees in the region to nearly $474 million in 2021, the largest amount of assistance from any nation.

This assistance is provided directly to independent humanitarian organizations, including the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), International Organization for Migration (IOM), the World Health Organization (WHO), and other international and non-governmental organizations following extensive vetting and monitoring.

This funding provides support directly to some of the more than 18 million vulnerable Afghans in need in the region, including Afghan refugees in neighboring countries. It will enable our partners to provide lifesaving protection, food security support, essential health care, winterization assistance, logistics, and emergency food aid, in response to the growing humanitarian needs exacerbated by healthcare shortages, COVID-19, drought, malnutrition, and the impending winter.

To be clear, this humanitarian assistance will benefit the people of Afghanistan and not the Taliban, whom we will continue to hold accountable for the commitments they have made.

So I updated this guide with more things to ask to vet any private rescue group.

Also, Americans who consider donating to any group may want to look at the list and consider asking the same questions. I don't want to see Americans giving money to groups who haven't rescued anyone.

I am neglecting my commitment to try to encourage you all on a regular basis. My apologies. My feelings regarding the Deobandi Islam adherents and other people groups tend to have me regard them as various poisonous and dangerous animals who are way beyond the lowest form of life on Earth. According to Ronald Lee Ermey in the character of Gunny Hartmann on Full Metal Jacket, whom I agree with in some ways, these people groups might not be human fornicating beings, but are rather slimy unorganized grabasstic pieces of amphibian excrement that stain the loin coverings in the crotch area of certain abomination figures such as the current executive dictators of the People's Republic of China and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, with a large helping of Vladimir Putin and his KGB honed cranium. That being said, the enemy are like cobras...not to be charmed except by the experts who can avoid the strike and bite. I also must say that those in the United States who would cater to these totalitarian theocratic idol worshippers fit the characteristics I describe as well. However, God, and the Peoples of the Book, will ultimately prevail over the enemy. It is going to be long-suffering in endurance. Keep your minds sharp. Keep your hearts concealed when you can. Keep your minds sharp. However, you out there know best how since I'm unaware of your access to mind strengthening resources. We here in the United States will keep you in hearts and minds. Be good

10/17/21- State Dept. Office of the Spokesperson. The below is attributable to Spokesperson Ned Price:

10/15/21 -- State Department press briefing

Ned Price was asked about Qatar saying it had a large flight arrive from Afghanistan yesterday. He would not comment directly. He was also asked why no Americans were on that flight. He didn't respond.

He was also asked about whether family members other than children and spouses may be allowed to come join Afghans in the U.S. He said the State Department was following immigration laws.

I've posted some of his comments that may affect you below. The link to the transcript/video is at the end.

"We’ve been working and we’ve been in constant touch with Americans and others in Afghanistan who have expressed a desire to leave. Most recently, there was a charter flight with Americans on board on October 11th. It was a Qatar Airways charter flight. In total, at least 129 U.S. citizens and 115 lawful permanent residents have departed Afghanistan with our assistance since August 31st. That is to say these departures were facilitated by the United States either with a charter flight or, in some cases, an overland transfer."

"Our goal, as we discussed at some length yesterday, is to see to it that these – in the first instance, these charter flight operations become more routine, that they garner a degree of automaticity in terms of their frequency and their cadence. We are continuing to work closely with our partners, including our Qatari partners, including our Pakistani partners, to facilitate these flights and to see to it that Americans and others to whom we have a special commitment are able to be on these flights. And we will continue to report our progress when it comes to that."

"we have been clear that our first priority in terms of support is always going to be to American citizens. We’ve also made clear the priority we attached to lawful permanent residents and to Afghans to whom we have a special commitment."

"When it comes to family members, this is a question that in some ways is governed by the Immigration and Nationality Act. It is written into statute the assistance that – to whom we’re able to provide some of these forms of assistance. So all of our operations need to be consistent with the Immigration and Nationality Act, which allows us to provide similar services to American citizens and their dependents. And dependents is defined not by us; it is defined in statute written by Congress.

So I would make the point that our operations have to comport with the INA even as we are continuing our efforts to prioritize support to American citizens, LPRs, and to Afghans to whom we have a special commitment. And that will be ongoing."

The simple things are hard. The easy ways are always mined. Murphy's Law of Combat sayings here but very true throughout the ages. Another one is no combat ready unit has ever passed inspection. When Biden initially began evacuating people out of the Kabul airport, Biden was supposed to be getting out American citizens and those who helped us during the war including SIV holders. But initially the numbers were low going out on the planes and people noticed, as we reported and Biden was getting hammered for the half-empty planes and being chastised for not having gotten our allies out earlier.

But then the Biden team started getting more on the planes. Yet he ended up not only leaving hundreds of Americans, he also ended up leaving over 80,000 SIVs, as well as other people who had helped America.

So who did he get out? I’ve always believed that when he started getting flack for not getting people out, they started putting pretty much anyone they could on the plane to pump up the numbers so it could look like he was getting people out. Whether they were the people we were supposed to get out or not, vetted or not, despite them claiming they had carefully vetted everyone. Meanwhile that very action of taking other people meant that even more people would crash the airport hoping to get out and blocking the people who deserved to get on the flights because they helped America.

Now Sen. Josh Hawley (R-MO) has released an email of an internal administration communication pretty much showing that and that Joe Biden himself directed people to be put on planes whether they were vetted or not and even if they hadn’t helped America.

“This email was shared [with] me by an American official present in Afghanistan during the evacuation who was shocked by administration’s failure to vet Afghans before they were evacuated,” Hawley said. “Email details orders from Joe Biden to fill up the planes—even without vetting.”

The email was from Gregory Floyd on Wednesday, August 18. Floyd was the Consul General at the U.S. Embassy in Kabul. He’d only been on the job since July according to his LinkedIn page. Quick on the job training there. Here’s what it said.

Team,

President Biden phoned Ambassador Wilson with the following directive about who to clear to board evacuation flights.

“1. Anyone with a valid form of ID should be given permission to go on a plane if that person plausibly falls into the categories we will evacuate: U.S. Citizens and LPRs plus their immediate families, LES plus their immediate families, those entitled to an SIV and Afghans at risk.

2. Families with women and children should be allowed through and held to fill out the planes.

3. Total inflow to the U.S. must exceed the number of seats available. Err on the side of excess.”

This guidance provides clear discretion and direction to fill seats and to provide special consideration for women and children when we have seats. I expect that C-17 volume will increase.

Thank you,

Greg

This makes it very clear they were being deceptive about who they were getting out and likely lying when they said they were vetting everyone. “Afghans at risk” and “Families with women and children” are categories that don’t have to have any relation to helping America and wouldn’t have any prior vetting it they were just showing up at the airport. It was clear the goal was simply to fill the seats – right people or not.

From Free Beacon:

Hawley pressed the issues on Tuesday during a Senate hearing with Colin Kahl, the Pentagon’s undersecretary for defense policy and the administration official largely responsible for overseeing the Biden administration’s botched evacuation.

“We now know that we’ve got major problems of vetting of the people who were brought to this country, who were evacuated and brought to this country,” Hawley said. “So, you testified in September that those evacuated, about 6,000 American citizens, you testified in September that the [Special Immigrant Visas] were about 1,200 to 1,300, that leaves about 116,700 people, based on the 124,000 neo-number that you’ve been offering, 116,700 people who were not citizens, who were not SIVs, and we just don’t know much about who were those people?”

Kahl, in response to Hawley’s questions, said that about 84 percent of the Afghans evacuated by the Biden administration were deemed to be at risk under Taliban rule. “It’s a mishmash of a lot of different categories,” Kahl said.

So if 84% of the people rescued of that 124,000 number were “at risk” meaning not necessarily having any relation to helping America at all – 104,160 of those they got out fell into that category, assuming that number is accurate. And they wonder why there are now reports of problems? They basically threw random people on the plane – who knows who they are – from a country with a bunch of terrorists as well. And maybe what’s most despicable about all this – while Biden was doing it to try to cover himself and make it look like he was getting out people – the real people he was supposed to get out, tens of thousands, are still trapped.

Do not bother yourself, they are not honest, I have worked with them for 18 years, they are wasting their time, if they really want to evacuate people, it is very easy.

I will not go forward for security reasons.

I do not exaggerate.

You can tell them this and try me with guarantee.

I read the transcript. Mr Price is merely being a jabberjaw...not as amiable as the animated shark speaking like Curly Howard of the Three Stooges either. The military term is oxygen thief. Engaging diplomatically with certain political regimes and questionable international organizations... regretfully I find these items of little worth. Seems to me that the diplomats engage in more noshing than actual proper diplomacy with titanium cojones backing us up.

Dear Sir/madam,

I am an Afghan woman Gulalay Arabzai from USAID /ADA. I am sending this email to seek you kind attention for enrolling me as one of the Principle Applicants for the current evacuation program considered for The US Government Allies.

During the past fifth years of my career in working with USAID/ ADA, I have  always worked in high risk provinces including Laghman, Mazar e Shareef, Nagarhar and as well as Kabul.

During my past working carrier, I have been visibly pointed as an ally to the US Government who is supporting US missions in Afghanistan, I am highly concerned and finding myself to be in an immediate risk due the recent changes in the structure of the Afghan Government. I can't trust the people within the geographical location where I belong to, as they will easily communicate my information and location to taliban which would certainly result in taking us to death. Therefore, I am finding the lives of myself and my family in an immediate risk after the evacuation of the US For an immidiate evacuation plan.

I registered with SVI but so far I have not found any answer

Sincerely yours,

Gulalay Arabzai

I just got this email from the state department. I think this is good news that diplomatic solutions starting.

The below is attributable to Spokesperson Ned Price:

“On October 9 and 10, an interagency delegation traveled to Doha, Qatar to meet with senior Taliban representatives. The U.S. delegation focused on security and terrorism concerns and safe passage for U.S. citizens, other foreign nationals and our Afghan partners, as well as on human rights, including the meaningful participation of women and girls in all aspects of Afghan society. The two sides also discussed the United States’ provision of robust humanitarian assistance, directly to the Afghan people. The discussions were candid and professional with the U.S. delegation reiterating that the Taliban will be judged on its actions, not only its words.”

all the passport offices are closed the embassies are closed no one can get visa the borders are closed we are stuck here

I hope that the flights which are Arranged from Afghanistan also evacuate the p2 applicants because in this condition in Afghanistan there is no way to leave every where is closed and we feel in danger we can not hide anymore they are finding us
