First Ferris Wheel on National Mall for America 250

I got an inside look as the 110 foot giant ride was assembled in Washington, D.C.

The first-ever Ferris wheel on the National Mall opens June 25. Rides are free! No ticket needed.

The “Freedom 250 Ferris Wheel” is at 7th Street and Madison Drive. It’s between the U.S. Capitol and the Washington Monument.

Talley Amusements transported the wheel from Texas. The crew assembled it over the past week.

It runs through July 10 as part of the America 250 celebrations and the Great American State Fair.
